Box Tops Contest
We are having our second Box Tops for Education contest of the 2011-2012 school year. What are Box Tops? Just look for the above symbol on products you already purchase. Collect these symbols over the year and hand them in during our collection drives. Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to raise money for Accompsett. We will receive 10 cents for each box top collected. Box Tops can be found on many products including General Mills, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, and Pillsbury.
Please clip as many Box Tops as possible and bring them into school by Friday February 10, 2012. The class with the most will win a Movie/ Ice Cream Party. Please remember to include your child’s name and teacher on the envelope. It is important to include this information otherwise the class may not get credit. If you have any questions please contact Dawn Sherland.
PARP - Read to Succeed Reading Program
Accompsett Elementary School is proud to announce that it will be participating in the Six Flags 2011-2012 Read to Succeed Reading Program along with its PARP program. Read to Succeed is a free educational program sponsored by Six Flags to inspire kids in grades K through 6 to engage in recreational reading. Students who complete six hours of recreational, non school-related reading are eligible to earn a free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags theme park.
What you need to do:
1. You must read for at least 6 hours or 360 minutes between now and
February 17, 2012.
2. Download, complete and sign Six Flags Read to Succeed Student Reading
Log.
3. Return the form to your teacher by the end of PARP or February 17, 2012.
This is a hard deadline.

Dine O'Round is Coming!
The class basket themes have been assigned. Please take a look at the class list to view your teacher's theme. You should be hearing from your class parents about the donations, please feel free to contact them. If you have any other questions about Dine O'Round please contact Ellen Kyranakis at 366-4499
Library Book Donations
Library book donations enable you to dedicate a book to the Accompsett library in your child's or family's name. Your child will love to see his or her name dedicated in a book at the school library and be the first person to take out "your" book. Our librarian will be choosing the titles based on the library's need. You can, however, choose a topic or request a book at a certain grade level. this is a great way to increase our inventory of books for the library and ensure your donated book will be enjoyed by Accompsett's students over and over again. To donate please download the order form and send it into school in an envelope marked "PTA Library Book Donations". If you have any questions please contact Liz Alpert 979-0278.

Don't forget to sign up for the "Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards" program. Now is the time to register for the 2011/2012 school year, keep in mind you need to register every year. To register your card please click here.
