Box Tops Contest

We are having our second Box Tops for Education contest of the 2011-2012 school year. What are Box Tops? Just look for the above symbol on products you already purchase.  Collect these symbols over the year and hand them in during our collection drives. Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to raise money for Accompsett. We will receive 10 cents for each box top collected. Box Tops can be found on many products including General Mills, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, and Pillsbury.

Please clip as many Box Tops as possible and bring them into school by Friday February 10, 2012. The class with the most will win a Movie/ Ice Cream Party.   Please remember to include your child’s name and teacher on the envelope. It is important to include this information otherwise the class may not get credit. If you have any questions please contact Dawn Sherland.

Dine O'Round is Coming!

The class basket themes have been assigned. Please take a look at the class list to view your teacher's theme. You should be hearing from your class parents about the donations, please feel free to contact them. If you have any other questions about Dine O'Round please contact Ellen Kyranakis at 366-4499 

PARP Decorating Committee

The PARP Decorating Committee is in need of student artists to help decorate the school. Download, cut out and color/decorate the bear as you wish.  Feel free to add clothing or other details.
 
In celebration of Kathleen Bart’s new book, you could decorate your bear with clothing of children around the world. All bears are due to the Accompsett Main Office by Thursday, January 26th, 2012.

Circus Equipment For Sale

The Circus has come to Accompsett and the children have been enjoying learning some skills they didn’t even know they had this week.  We hope that your child has found something that interested them and that they have challenged themselves with trying something new.  If your child would like to continue to practice their circus skills and has been asking you to get them items such as Diabolos or Devil Sticks and you are wondering what they are talking about we are here to help. 

We are selling a variety of items that were used in the gym classes this week and some other circus related items.  This equipment is high-quality, from a company that provides equipment and juggling supplies to Cirque Du Soleil and the National Circus Project (the company that came in to work with our children).

If you are interested in purchasing any of this equipment please download and complete the order form and return it in an envelope labeled “CIRCUS EQUIPMENT” with a check payable to ACCOMPSETT ELEMENTARY PTA by Friday, January 27, 2012.

Library Book Donations
                                                                                                               
Library book donations enable you to dedicate a book to the Accompsett library in your child's or family's name. Your child will love to see his or her name dedicated in a book at the school library and be the first person to take out "your" book. Our librarian will be choosing the titles based on the library's need. You can, however, choose a topic or request a book at a certain grade level. this is a great way to increase our inventory of books for the library and ensure your donated book will be enjoyed by Accompsett's students over and over again. To donate please download the order form and send it into school in an envelope marked "PTA Library Book Donations". If you have any questions please contact Liz Alpert 979-0278.

*Kindergartners are not able
