Character Education Book Offer
The Accompsett PTA is happy to offer character education books at a discounted price for your use at home. They are used in our school and come highly recommended by Mrs. Minarik. Please download the form and send it in to the PTA mailbox by Monday, May 7th.

DUCKS Game Registration Has Been Extended!
We have extended the deadline to purchase DUCKS Game Tickets to next Friday, May 11th. The game is on Friday, June 1st at 7:05 pm. Tickets cost $10 (that a $1 discount) and parking is FREE. The first 1500 people at the game will also receive a free Ducks T-Shirt. Please download and complete the form and send it into school.

Our Last Box Top’s contest is now underway!
Please clip as many Box Tops (along the dotted line) as possible and bring them into school by Friday, May 11th. It is best to put the Box Tops in a small baggy labeled with your child and teacher’s names on it, this way your child’s class is ensured to get credit for these Box Tops. The class who hands in the most Box Tops by the deadline will win a Party. In addition the class with the most box tops collected throughout the whole year will also win a party! Happy Clipping!!!
Scholastic book fair
If you were unable to join us for the book fair you may purchase your books online. The deadline for placing your online orders is Friday, May 25th. Please be sure to place your orders by then.
Last Chance for Library Book Donations
Library book donations enable you to dedicate a book to the Accompsett library in your child's or family's name. Your child will love to see his or her name dedicated in a book at the school library and be the first person to take out "your" book. Our librarian will be choosing the titles based on the library's need. You can, however, choose a topic or request a book at a certain grade level. this is a great way to increase our inventory of books for the library and ensure your donated book will be enjoyed by Accompsett's students over and over again.
To donate please download the order form and send it into school in an envelope marked "PTA Library Book Donations" by Friday, May 18th. If you have any questions please contact Liz Alpert 979-0278.
Join Us for the PTA End Of Year Dinner!
The PTA end of the year Dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm in the Accompsett Elementary cafeteria. Come celebrate the end of the school year and the many successful events our PTA volunteers made possible!
Salads and wraps will be catered by The Bagel Chalet of Commack.
The cost is $10.00 per person.
We are asking for interested bakers and shoppers to help make this occasion festive by bringing desserts and soda.
Please download and fill out the form, make your check payable to Accompsett Elementary PTA and put in an envelope marked PTA End of Year dinner by Friday, June 1st, 2012.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR MIKE'S HIKE!
The second annual Mike's Hike will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012. Last April, Accompsett Elementary School suddenly lost one of our beloved teachers, Michael Denaro. Mr. Denaro not only taught with enthusiasm and dedication, but he invested much of his personal time helping Accompsett’s students build memories that they could hold onto forever. He was a member of the Accompsett Family, and he is missed by our entire staff, student body, and the community. Accompsett Elementary has teamed up with Smithtown Children’s Foundation to organize a 4K Run/2K Walk in Memory of Mike Denaro. Our hope is to bring the community together to honor and remember Mike in a positive way. Please download the registration form or register online. We hope to see you there.
