Please join us for our next PTA Meeting on Tuesday, April 14th at 7pm.
Thank you to our new Nominating Committee for stepping up for one of the most important committees we have. The Nominating Committee is charged with nominating the 2015-2016 PTA Executive Committee. Nominations will be presented at the April 14th meeting. Elections take place at the May 5th meeting.
PLEASE take the time to submit nominations for the Executive Committee. ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: Friday, March 27, 2015. You may nominate yourself or someone else. Before proceeding with the final recommendations, all nominees chosen by the nominating committee will be contacted by a member of the Nominating Committee to confirm that their name has been submitted and that they accept the nomination. All candidates must be current PTA members. If you have not yet done so and would like to become a PTA member you can find the form under the "QuickLinks". It is also very helpful if the person you are nominating is aware of their nomination and willing to accept their nomination.
The term for each position is 1 year. An individual may be re-elected for a second term, but cannot serve more than 2 consecutive years in the same position. Every nomination is taken into consideration.
We are asking everyone to PLEASE take the few minutes to simply complete the form and send back to school by Friday, March 27th in a sealed envelope marked "PTA Nominations".
Accompsett Elementary Spirit Wear
Spirit Wear is now available. T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Pajama pants and car magnets! Please send in the Apparel Order Form and send it into school in with your payment in an envelope marked "PTA Spirit Wear". Accompsett Pre-K Program
Registration for this year's Pre-K program will take place before the next PTA meeting on Tuesday, April 14th from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
We are offering three different sessions:
The program will start the week of May 4th and last for 3 weeks.
SCSD Parent University - Wednesday, March 25th
Smithtown Schools will host the next PARENT UNIVERSITY Wednesday, March 25th from 7:00-9:00pm at High School EAST in St. James.

Smithtown Central School District is proud the launch the “Mindset Parent Book Discussion” based on the book “Mindset” by Carol Dweck. Discussions will take place once monthly at New York Avenue in room 222A from 7:30pm-8:30pm. You can RSVP by emailing Elizabeth Stein at email@example.com.
